Judging by that reaction, that hospital must be a “what not to do” example. Nursing homes are pretty easy, though. Lobby/reception; gym/PT area; cafeteria; large outdoor activity area with walking & biking routes; large TV lounge & indoor activities center; computer center; outdoor shaded rest area; rooms facing west (sunlight in the mornings and cool in the evenings); swimming pool with sauna and hot tub; emergency care rooms; nursing stations; offices… that about covers it for a good to great nursing home.
