Stigmata aren&#x27;t real, believers&#x27;s mind are so strong in their will to understand the Christ&#x27;s suffering  they uncounsciously developped these stigmata, it&#x27;s the power of human mind. Ok, it&#x27;s true the longinus spear&#x27;s stigmata, the thorns&#x27;s crown, the friction of the cross on the shoulder, the flogging, etc, these kind of stigmata could be &#034;real&#034; because they could have really happened like that, but the nail holes, that is totally BS and only possible because crucifixion representation in art or statues. Why ? Because crucifixion ( strange, you english use &#034;crucifixion&#034; in all cases, when french use &#034;Crucifiement&#034; for the execution method, and &#034;crucifixion&#034; only for the Christ &#034;crucifiement&#034;) was a really horrible and common way to execute people, the method  is known and there is no way you can do this by nailing the palm of the hands and the center of the feet. It would be totally unable to resist the body mass, and would totally ripped after some time. They nailed the wrist, and the heels ( one foot at each side of the cross, or worse, one long naill across the two heels in the front side ... ). Crucifixion kills by asphyxia, all the body mass pulling on the arms, compressing the lungs. The whole part of the legs torture is to force the victim to push on his wounded feet to maintain balance, retarding the death but prolonging the suffering. That&#x27;s why breaking the victim&#x27;s legs with a hammer was considered an act of mercy. Unable to stand up, death came quickly ...]]></description>
