Yeah if they put their brains to actually improve the company instead of just scheming to take over the company they could actually get shit done. This would also probably make them more favourable to the big man.

While his grandfather was overly hard on his son in law he’s not without any ability and ultimately betrayed him because he heard the grandfather’s very harsh opinion of him.

It’s a running theme in this family. His children do have talents but his wealth spoiled them and he failed to raise them right. Both as people and business leaders.

The daughter is skilled at managment and understands rich people very well, but is incredibly greedy. The mc barely had to do anything in the novel to bring her down.

The second son is talented, but doesn’t know how to take responsibility for his business and listen to his much smarter subordinates in a crisis.

The eldest son is the least skilled and is full of himself, but in a crisis his critical thinking and plans are not to be underestimated.
