That is Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the founders of google (newgle).

Google was founded in 98, and the story seems to be around 97/98, with Titanic releasing in 97. So it matches quite nicely. Amazon was founded in 94, and it was used as an example in the previous chapter (or the one before that) as a .com company that was worth investing in. So it is already in existence.
